테이블마우틴은 꼭대기는 평평한 바위언덕이고 주위는 벼랑인 지형의 메사(mesa)입니다. 여기 테이블마운틴에서는 눈 아래로 숨이 막히도록 멋진 장관이 펼쳐집니다. 케이블카를 타고 편안하게 정상에 도착할 수도 있고 하이킹도 할 수 있습니다. 케이프타운을 한 눈에 보고, 태평양과 로빈섬, 멀리 보이는 산들을 봅니다. 이 근처에는 또한 '사자의 머리' 및 '12 사도'들이 있습니다.
The Mountain commands surely some of the most spectacular views in the world. Look north and you're gazing over the angry Atlantic to tiny Robben Is; in south, you're looking at the majestic cliffs of the Twelve Apostles and the rugged coast below. The Cape peninsula mountain chain is a mass of sedimentary sandstone lying above ancient shales that were deposited some 700 million years ago, as well as large areas of granite. After the subsidence of the primevalocean, the effects of wind, rain, ice and extreme temperatures caused erosion of the softer layers, leaving behind the characteristic mesa of Table Mountain.
